According to preliminary monthly data, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) estimated that the wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles (NEV-PVs) in China would reach 1.14 million units in March, up 37% both YoY and MoM, while the cumulative wholesale sales for 1Q25 would soar by 43% YoY to 2.86 million units.
Meanwhile, the data shows that Tesla (TSLA.US) sold 78,828 electric vehicles (EVs) in China in March, marking a YoY drop of 11.5% but a sharp MoM growth of 157%. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) (002594.SZ), meanwhile, sold 371,400 NEVs in March.
